iPhone painting in springtime

by Joshua Korenblat

When I fingerpaint on my iPhone, I attune to quotidian moments of human nature. Gliding and smudging my fingers across a screen that has become an omnipresent reflection of modern life, I follow the principle of festina lente, an old Latin saying favored by the writer Italo Calvino—hurry slowly.
